Close sources in the music industry had revealed yesterday that a popular Nigerian singer was in coma after a terrible accident in Dubai. His record label has since released his current photo and press statement.
We reported it here yesterday that fast rising Nigerian singer, Onyido Nkemjika, popularly known by his stage name Ketchup, who is known by his banging hit, “Show me yur rozay”, suffered a terrible fall from a fly board, while in Dubai and went into a coma.
The news sent the Nigerian entertainment industry in total shock.
The singer’s record label has now issued an official statement concerning the state of health of their artiste.

“We would like to clarify the state of Health of 606 Music’s dancehall artiste, Ketchup, our artiste who just celebrated his birthday in Dubai went Skyboarding around 6:00pm UAE time on the 2nd of May 2016 with friends. Due to his adventurous nature, he decided to give it a try.
During one of such attempts he lost his balance and fell into the water and hit his head which made him unconscious.
He was administered first aid and was rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment where he remained unconscious for some hours.
As at the time of this press release he has regained consciousness and is responding to treatment.
